The NH School of Mechanical Trades started out as an idea and dream of Dean Millard, John Duff, and Robert Millard. Between them, they have approximately 60 years of instruction experience in the field of Oil Heating at a trade school in Massachusetts. Over the course of those many years of instructing students, many of which traveled from New Hampshire to attend the trade school in Massachusetts, and listening to their concerns, they realized the real need for a bonafide trade school in the state of New Hampshire.

After many exhausting months of research and visiting many possible locations to begin their venture, they found a location at 7 Perimeter Road in Manchester, New Hampshire. Almost immediately they knew, “This building and this city is where we need to be!” This location was selected because of the city’s fantastic and easy in and out highway access systems, and more importantly, the amount of positive feedback from the great city of Manchester. The city officials and other organizations made it a “no brainer” decision. The recent passing of Dean’s father, Robert, only brought more desire and motivation to make the dream they created together a reality.

“Our goal is to provide a first of its kind, educational facility dedicated solely to the trades, with the very best instructors determined on getting people of all backgrounds excited about a career in the trades again, and getting people back to work! We are going to start right here in the great city of Manchester, New Hampshire.”
