We arrived at this state of openness after years of leading, managing, supporting and developing technology in higher education. Like many others, we became frustrated with commercial software that is expensive, slow to improve, inflexible and proprietary.

Longsight entered the open source market in 2001 to address this situation with a focus on learning management systems. Our clients tell us this was a great move; Longsight has grown dramatically in this market. Since 2001, we've added portals and digital repositories to our short and focused list of supported applications.

We emphasize the quality of support by putting the best technical experts on the front lines. We focus on partnerships with our clients which means we know your people, values and mission and can support them well. When you call us for help, you get help at the first level because we're familiar with your work and are expert with the application.

We emphasize reliability in our hosting operations with a service level agreement that pledges outstanding uptime and security. Better software running reliably at lower cost.
