Cleaning companies can be divided into the honest and the dishonest. Human nature, competitive pressure and lack of oversight (we do operate in the dark) often favor the dishonest. Why do the dishonest win? Because you hire them. I often hear from prospects "I can't find a decent janitor" and they then repeat the same failed process of taking "competitive" bids and hiring a contractor at a price 25% to 50% below ours. Low bidders can appear as extremely attractive bargains (and should, they budget more in Marketing than in Operations) but, don't be deceived, low bidders are not charities, they are extremely lucrative.
