Cooper General has played an important role in complex communications systems for state and local governments in the U.S. and overseas.

In 1998, the company entered the wireless telephony communications industry through its Wireless Services Group. It presently operates four major cellular service centers: Miami, Florida; Colombia, Brazil, Mexico and Guatemala, all with repair and rebuilding capabilities, operating with high regard for local laws and for the protection of the environment. All centers are using state of the art equipment, development and support. Factory certifications are from: Nokia, Motorola, Audiovox, L.G. Electronics, Panasonic or as required. Today Cooper General Wireless Services Group employs more than 200 people, highly qualified engineers and technicians, specialized in the different technologies prevailing in the cellular industry (TDMA, CDMA & GSM).

A very important asset to the Cooper General Organization is the south American facility which is situated in an International Free Trade Zone, where it can receive and return parts and equipment, without customs intervention or taxes of any kind, allowing our centers in other countries to benefit from the lower labor rates of this high quality operation.
