Barry was raised by a single mother who worked very hard as an apartment manager and he had a grandfather that was an entrepreneur, but a product of the baby boomer generation. Barry worked as a machinist and worked on starting various kinds of businesses until 2009. When the economy slowed down across the United States the company he was working for had the third or fourth layoff in the fifteen years of working there. The day that layoff took place Barry went home and told his wife that they needed to find a way to control their own destiny; this was in February 2009. Mother’s Day, May 10, 2009 Barry went to a three-day seminar on how to invest in real estate and that was the day Barry had found his new love for business.
