Established in 1991, Carter Affiliates, Inc. Resources for the Environment (CARE) is a small, but unique, environmental services company. CARE specializes in waste reduction equipment, pollution prevention programs, remedial services, hazardous waste management, regulatory compliance audits and resource management.
CARE was one of the first firms in the U.S. to focus it mission and talents on pollution prevention/waste minimization as well as sustainable development systems/technologies/equipment for the environment. It has a broad array of international project experience and resources, serving both the southwestern U.S. and Mexico.

CARE was formed with the goal of providing industry and muncipalities with the finest recycling, waste minimization and hazardous material management equipment and services possible.

Its CARTERCARETM program is based on the Pollution Prevention Act mandated by the U.S. Congress in November 1990. The CARTERCARETM program concentrates on the reduction, recycling and, if possible, elimination of hazardous waste generation for its clients.

In cases where hazardous wastes are continually and necessarily generated, the CARTERCARETM program includes analysis, documentation, transportation and disposal/incineration services to a number of carefully selected treatment, storage and disposal facilities (TSDFs) for those clients who require it. These services are particularly important for Mexico and other third world nations who lack waste treatment and disposal capacity infrastructure.
