It was in 1995 that Walker moved to Pacific Palisades from her native New York, where, at the age of 18, she had begun running a family-owned business with locations on Madison Avenue and in Scarsdale, New York. In Pacific Palisades, Walker immediately recognized the need for a convenient, high-end store that catered to a community of fashion- savvy women.
