In 1979, Gary Balke formed the basis of this mission statement that continues to drive the company 30 years later.

Today he and company principals Steve Brown, Mike Donovan, and Jim Tainter lead a team of 45 people that focus their efforts to fulfill this mission.

Balke Brown Associates is a full-service commercial real estate development, leasing and management company in Missouri and Southwestern Illinois. Listed as one of the largest real estate firms in St. Louis, BBA has developed, owns and/or manages a portfolio of over 56 projects containing over 6.4 million square feet of Class A office and industrial space.

One of the keys to success for BBA has been their flexibility with project types. They added industrial properties to their portfolio in 1995 and expanded into the multifamily market in 2003.
